About Me

I am currently a PhD student in English literature at Brown University. I specialize in the study of British fiction of the long nineteenth century, with interdisciplinary interests in religious studies and music. My previous substantial research projects have focused on the work of George Eliot and Charlotte Brontë.

I grew up in Connecticut before I got my bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California, where I was a Trustee Scholar and double majored in English literature and History. I then received my MPhil in English from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, where my studies were fully funded by the Gould Studentship in English Literature.

In my breaks between school, I have worked as a teacher of sixth grade English in New York City and at an educational nonprofit in London. In my free time, I like to play the violin and piano, listen to podcasts, and crochet.
